The renter who completes the Secure Online Booking form must be over 24 years of age, and must be a guest in the apartment during the rental period. Exceptions to the age limitation can be made in regard to families with children. In such cases, contact GentleSpace at info@gentlespace.is .

You may be required to show a valid credit card and identification that matches the name on the credit card upon check-in. Failure to present the required identification may result in your booking being canceled without a refund.

The number of people staying in the apartment may not exceed the number stated on the Booking Confirmation.

Instructions for picking up the keys and final arrangements will be emailed to you.

Check-in and check-out times are as follows:

Mjallargata 1 & Fjarðarstræti 6: Check-in from 15:00 – 22:00 (3 p.m. – 10 p.m.). Check-out before 11:00.

Túngata 20: Check-in from 16:00 – 22:00 (4 p.m. – 10 p.m.). Check-out before 12:00 noon.

Guests must treat the apartment and surroundings with care, and make sure that things are in their right place upon departure.

In addition, the renter is responsible for leaving the apartment in a tidy condition, for example, dishes washed (in Mjallargata, the dishwasher may be left running), and the fridge and dustbin emptied.

Final cleaning is handled by GentleSpace. However, GentleSpace reserves the right to invoice your credit card for cleaning services if the apartment is left in a non-standard condition.


• Apartments are NOT suitable for Stag and Hen parties
• Non-smoking apartments (except on balconies)
• Pets are not allowed

Guests need to show utmost consideration to their neighbors. Noise should not exceed a reasonable level, and must be kept to a minimum from 23:00 – 08:00 (11 p.m. – 8 a.m.).

Should the renter or any other guests behave in a manner considered inappropriate and unacceptable according to law and/or the apartment building code of conduct, GentleSpace reserves the right to invalidate the rental agreement without notice. In such an instance, the renter has no right to claim any type of compensation.

Any damages to the apartment or its contents caused by you, by those staying in the apartment, or by visitors, must be paid in full by you. In the event that damage is discovered after you depart, GentleSpace is entitled to invoice your credit card for the damages.

Please notify GentleSpace immediately at (+354) 892-9282 / 867-6657 if something breaks or needs repairing.

If you wish to change your Booking after it has been confirmed, please contact us at info@gentlespace.is and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

To cancel a booking, please email us with the details. Cancellations are subject to the following cancellation policy:

If a cancelled booking is subsequently filled by another guest, we automatically refund 95% of the amount paid regardless of when the cancellation was made.
